In 2024, she established a research group 'Perinatal Mental Health' at Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBIS).
Perinatal IBIS-Lab is a cutting-edge, interdisciplinary research group founded by Dr. Emma Motrico at the Institute of Biomedicine of Seville (IBiS). Our team brings together experts from psychology, public health, obstetrics, and data science.
Officially recognized as an emerging research group at IBiS (Code: IBiS-B-17) and within the Andalusian Plan for Research, Development, and Innovation (PAIDI, Code: CTS-1142), our core mission is to transform perinatal healthcare through scientific excellence. We focus on promoting maternal and paternal emotional well-being, preventing perinatal depression and anxiety, and studying early infant neurodevelopment.
By co-designing and evaluating mobile health (mHealth) interventions and leveraging implementation science, we aim to integrate robust scientific evidence into routine and sustainable public health services
